Prince Charles visits cnwd on his summer tour of Wales

Emily WellsComment

In the heart of West Wales is a small food company called cnwd.
cnwd was set up by Michelin trained Scott Davis and his partner Kirsty Manning, and produce the finest smoked fish, terrines, pates and artisan produce around. They source all their ingredients from the very best local suppliers and their fish is caught using the ancient method of coracle fishing, all of which results in the most delicious produce.

With this in mind, its no surprise that cnwd has caught the attention of the Prince of Wales, who is well know for his interest in sustainable farming and great local produce.

The Prince spent Monday the 30th June with the team from cnwd, learning about why small is great, and I was lucky enough to be there to record the day.

Dylan Thomas Recipe Cards

Earlier in the summer I was delighted to be commissioned by Ffres and Mid Wales Local Food Talks, to shoot a series of beautiful dishes inspired by Dylan Thomas, as part of the celebrations to mark the centenary of his birth.

The dishes were created by the talented Scott Davies of Carmarthenshire based cnwd and Strawberry Shortcake Dining. The dishes showcase all that is wonderful about Welsh ingredients and produce, and all have links to the places and food Dylan loved.
